Race for 2nd hots up

With leaders Bugle A on there bye week the attention switched to the runners up spot with both Mevagissey A and Tregonissey A claiming 4 1 victories to keep things very much up in the air regarding the chase for silverware

The Meva boys dropped the first frame to there D team as Rich Lakeman beat Matt Mills but they responded by taking the remaining games with James Popplewell sneaking home against Ian Latham in the closest of the frames

Ryan Bilsons fine 54 break helped Treggy A secure a good win over Bethel A to keep the pressure on Garry Stephens excellent 33 break was enough to put him 53 points up on Barrie Mcintosh who in turn made a 40 clearance to get 4 ranking points but still lost the match but Jason Simmons and Chris Stephenson both won black ball frames to secure the win

Len Flower made a 30 break for Pelynt but still lost out to Dave Rundle as Bugle B picked up a couple points in there quest to get away from the bottom of the league Keith Moore got Bugles other frame with Jason Hill John Daniell and Dave Grose getting the home points

Treggy B took 3 frames at Bethel D with Paul Baron knocking in a 41 break as he beat Gavin Dyche Stuart Giles and Andrew Gooch took there other frames with Jason Pascoe and Dayle Dyche replying

St Neot v Mevagissey B was postponed Mo Roscorla got Bugle Cs only point at home to leaders Bethel C when he defeated Ben Stunell but the
victory sees the Bethel boys open up a 5 point lead at the top

St Blazey got a good 3 2 win at Bethel B to stand in third place with wins for Richie Bolt Mark Cockayne and Mike Delaney with Wayne Jordan and Clive Stuthridge replying

Matt Moore and Darren Biggen put Lostwithiel 2 up at Gorran but were hauled back in by Rob Bunney and Steve Williams and the home side got the win thanks to Mike Wherrys walkover as Losty are still looking for a replacement for John Wilton who has had a shoulder operation

Lerryn picked up an excellent 4 1 win at Meva C thanks to wins for John Hancock Terry Middleton Graham Hoskin and Matt Woodward with Darren Powell taking out Charles Mcmiram for the home side
