Incredible victory for Mevagissey B leaves Bugle A in shock

Mevagissey B pulled off surely there most incredible victory as they went to second place Bugle A and won all 5 frames with most people on the live scoreboard not believing what they were seeing as the evening unfolded

Pelynt moved above Bugle by getting all 5 frames at Mevagissey A who are all but doomed to be relegated

After going 2 up through Matt Mills and Nathan Shaw a break of 30 helped Ben Rothwell beat Kieren Pearce and Matty Rowe beat Justin Oxenham next leaving Dave Kendall to take out Andrew Best in the last for a memorable night.

Bethel A took advantage of Bugle’s slip up getting 4 frames against their D team leaving them 6 points ahead at the top of league with a game in hand over the chasing pack. Liam Jones got the D team off to a good start beating Bob Stephens on the Black but Garry Stephens, Matt Green, Andy Peers and Mark Ashton all had comfortable victories to leave them flying high.

John Daniell beat Darren Powell in the 1st frame then Richard Broad knocked in a 34 break when beating Ben Prynn, Nigel Doble and Andrew Gooch took the next 2 games leaving a final frame played by both teams extra player going the way of the away team.

It’s a mystery to many how St Blazey B are in the relegation zone and they got a great odd frame win at Tregonissey A to help their cause of clawing themselves up the league. Martin Richards, Clive Stuthridge and Dayle Dyche got there points with Dan Allen and Jason Cocks who had a 34 break notching for the treggy boys but the blazey boys got hold of the runabout shield in the process.

St Blazey A are red hot favourites for the Rees league title after a 4 1 win over nearest rivals Tregonissey B and stand 10 points clear at the top. Mark Cockayne, Stuart Dewings and Andrew Kitt put them 3 ahead but Darren Roberts stopped the rot beating Liam Reynolds on the black. Chris Brown knocked in a seasons high break of 54 to finish off the evening.

Keith Moore was Bugle Bs only success at Gorran Haven who move up to within 4 point’s of Treggy B with a game in hand so it bodes well for a close finish. Steve Williams Terry Mills Lee McKinstry and Warren Ball secured the home points.

Bethel C continued their good form beating their B team in a night of close finishes Ben Stunell took the 1st frame off Ady Dyche but Craig and Terry Nicholls both won on the Black taking out Roger and James Smithson respectively but Leigh Rosevear beat Matt Moore to level things up and Howard Brett recovered from being on the end of a 31 break from Ady Dyche playing his 2nd game as the extra player to sneak home on the Black to win by a single point

Lerryn picked up 3 points at home to Tregonissey C.
